A student from Australia

My name is Shenae Hodge I live in Victoria Australia and I attend a school called Kurnai College and it is in a small town called Churchill. I am 15 years of age. I have brown hair with bits of blonde in it. I have 2 best friends and their names are Nikki and Kim, they all attend this school as well. We start school at 8:30am and we finish at 2:50pm. At school our main subjects are English, Maths, Science and SOSE everybody in the school has to take part in those classes, we also have course selection which is where we choose more classes that we would like to participate in.
Out school is good at sports, arts, music and other academic subjects.
We do not have any after school clubs to enjoy after school.
Our food in our canteen is a whole heap of different stuff like pies, hotdogs, chicken burgers and we have some lollies and drinks, we also have cakes and cookies.
We are able to leave school at the age of 15.
We do not sing our national anthem every day.
My opinion about school is that it is a great opportunity to learn new things and make new friends, although it gets annoying going to school everyday.
This is me and my 1 of my best friends Kim

Hi, Shenae=) My name is Alex, in from Russia. I'm 16 years old and study last year at school. We also study from 8.30 till 14.50, like you do, but after lessons we usually have optional subjects. For example Mathematic, Economic, chemestry and history. On thith subjects we get more information about it or re-pass diffrent tests. Moust of students visit private tichers after school, becouse they don't understand some information at class.
In Russia moust of schools are state, and you don't need to pay for education. In university you can also study for free, if you have a lot of good marks. In Great Britan aducation is much more better, then in Russia, so afrer school i want to study in London.
In my school it's not very dengerous to miss some lessons, if you find some reason to tell teacher, why did you missed it:-)
Food isn't great, we have some kind of cafe inside the school, prices are cheep, but food isn't brilliant.
On P.E. lessons we play footbal, basketballand valleyball.
What is more, in my country you can give brybe to head of school or university and then study there. For example rich people give bribes, becouse they want that their children study in my school.
Our school has got their own gimn and we often make some concerts.

In my school it's not very dangerous to miss some lessons, if you find some reason to tell teacher, why did you missed it:-)

Hi Shenae Hodge, my name is Roma and it was really good to read about education in Australia.
Can you ask me for some questions: How long are breaks continue in you school? :):)
And also how long the subjects are continuing? :):)
Is your school mixed or single sex?
Can teachers in your school shout at pupils?
How many years you should study at school?
Are you really happy that you go to school???????
As for me I hate school and I go there only because of my friends but I must add that my marks are good.
Do you have a lot of friends at your school?
When new pupils come to your school what children do with such persons?????
I'd be glad to read your answer...
