Thailand answers our questions on their school history

1) When was your school founded?
The school was founded in 1996.
2)What teachers have been working from the beginning?
Teacher Juntip choo-chuay has worked here since the start.
3)What are the objectives of your school?
Develop IT technologies and languages to the students to be the best.
Develop students life skills.
Preserve and educate the students about the environment.
Create fair and equal learning opportunities.
4)- Does your school help poor people?
Yes. The school donates food to the local Monks who give it to the poor.
5)- How many teachers are working in the institution?
There are 74 teachers in the institution. Of the 74 there are 9 foreign teachers.
6)- Who founded the school?
The ministry of education founded the school.
7)- Why is the school called ….?
The ministry of education has a project to establish schools as the monument of Somdejprasrinakarin (the king’s mother), thus our school is called Chalermprakiat Somdejprasrinakarin Phuket, which means “LONG LIVE THE KING’S MOTHER”.
8)- Who was the first headmistress?
The director, Mr. Mett.
9)- Is it co-educational?
Yes, it is. There are 1,266 students. Male: 607, Female: 659
10) There are two parts of the school. One is the normal program and one is multi-languages program. The parents have to pay money for multi-languages program 35000 Baht per term.
11) No, We have not.
12) Mr Phongsak kruapade is the assistant director of the school. We don’t use the title secretary.
13) We don’t know all of them, but now our prefect is Chaiyaporn Karnchana-aksorn.
14) We don’t know who designed the school logo
15) We don’t know who designed the uniform. Every school has to wear the same type of uniform. Only the colour or the badges are different. It is usually made up of shorts and a white shirt for boys. Long skirt and blouse for girls. In Thailand the boys and girls must have short hair and finger nails. The school checks on this aswell!
